In fact, the McPherson Chamber of Commerce and its 400 member businesses play a vital role in catering to this population in addition to the city’s more than 13,000 residents.
McPherson Main Street is a non-profit, volunteer-based, membership-driven organization dedicated to revitalizing downtown McPherson. The Main Street approach to revitalization is a comprehensive one that works through four points: Promotion, Design, Economic Restructuring and Organization.
The McPherson County Small Business Development Association (SBDA) prepares and packages several types of loans for businesses and serves as a clearinghouse of economic development information in McPherson County. SBDA has been able to assist in the growth and expansion of small business in McPherson County through performance grants that were funded through the Kansas Department of Commerce & Housing.
